Slovenia has almost 2 million inhabitants. In spite of the fact that Slovenia is not a big country, Taekwon-Do is very popular there. This is the contribution of our association, officers and instructors. Below you can find selected actions of our association.
18th April 2004. On the meeting board in 2004, they decided that the Slovenian Taekwon-Do Association will join the International Taekwon-Do Federation. The President Mr. Rudolf Leban and the Secretary General Mr. Hasan Ibriè represent the association. Mr. Tomaž Barada is the Technical director.
In 2004, The Slovenian Taekwon-Do Association conducted a black belt examination for 1st degree in our Federation on 11th May 2004. The participants and their new degrees are: Petra Zagoriènik and Maja Kordež 1st degree.
11-13th June we had a Course of Self-defence and explanation of the philosophy of Taekwon-Do in a high School with the participation of 40 students (left photo below).

20th June 2004. The participants and their new degrees are: Hohnjec Izabela, Denis Drapiè, Tibor Ibriè, Kaja Rožman, Žiga Rožman, Staša Lubej, Dejan Mioè and Anže Dimec 1st degree.
14th to 16th May 2004, representatives of Slovenia took part in the European Taekwon-Do Senior and Junior Championships in Tampere-Finland. In this opportunity Aleš Zemljiè obtained one gold medal in Sparring Senior up to 80 kg, Redžo Ljutiè one gold medal in Sparring senior up to 58 kg, Aleš Lorber one silver medal Sparing senior up to 63 kg, Petra Zagoriènik one bronze medal Sparing senior up to 63 kg, Samo Mikl one gold medal in Sparring Junior up to 70 kg, Sanel Ljutiè one gold medal in Sparring Junior up to 58 kg and Maja Kordež one bronze medal Sparing Junior up to 60 kg.
On 29. May 2004, there was the 7. AH-AC Open competition 131 competitors have participated.
On July 2004 we participated also in the Junior World Championships in Riccione, Italy. Samo Mikl obtained one gold medal in sparing up to 70 kg, Sanel Ljutiè one gold medal in Sparring Junior up to 58 kg, Denis Drapiè one gold medal in Sparring Junior up to 52 kg, Grega Rudolf one silver medal in Sparring Junior up to 63 kg, Brina Fekonja one bronze medal in Sparring Junior up to 42 kg and Izabela Hohnjec one bronze medal in Sparring Junior up to 42 kg.
From 1.-2. October 2004 we had a Taekwon-Do course for coaches on The Faculty for sport.
From 8-10 October 2004 we had the practical part of the Instructors course in Maribor under The lead of Master Willem Jacob Bos 8th degree.
30th October-1 November 2004 our representatives participated in the International Instructor Course in Rimini - Italy, and black belt examination where Sebastjan Zemljiè and Jan Èreslovnik 4th degree.
In 2005 we plan to take part in the Europe and World Championships and we will organize International Championship:
