Master Raul Hernandez Bonilla - VIII Dan, President of ITF - Honduras and General Secretary of PCTF sent us a poster of World Junior Taekwon-Do Championships and wrote few words about the progress by the preparation of this prestigious event in 2006.

"We have a full support of the Honduran Ministry of and Institute of Turism by the organization of WCJ 2006. We plan in common whole series of the actions on the organization and pereparation level. (See bellow the letter for the Honduran Ministry and Institute of Turism).

Honduras is perfect place to spend summer time with a family and for Taekwon-Do fans, with a anorm low cost of living. Tegicugalpa, the capital of Honduras and a place of the WCJ 2006 dispose reach net of the hotels in all kind of standards and prices. We have already received offers of the two hotel concerns of the first cathegory (five stars) and we expect next offers by an auction.

The local currency is the lempira, which has an exchange rate approximately L.19.00 to US 1.00. It is difficult to exchange currency other than US dollars and travelers checks.

Honduran clima is tropical. Honduras is well known with a lot of exotic and unique turistic attractions like:

• ancient Copan ruinas - vestige of the precolumbian Mayan culture,
• Cayos Cohinos, Cayos Zapotillos - mountain atlantic islands with vivid beaches with Garifuna communities,

• Cultural attractions and possibilities: excursion to many attractive cities and turistic curiosities, presentations of the folklore garifurian dances, orchester (marimbas) and many others.
• We have a good Organizing Committee of World Junior Championships 2006, which will take any effort to make your visit in Honduras marvelous time.
