General Assemby of ITF Finland



On Sunday 14.11 city of Espoo hosted General Assemby of ITF Finland (Suomen ITF Taekwon-Do ry).

Delegates from most of Finnish ITF Clubs attended the meeting to elect new Board and key positions in the structure of Finnish Federation. According to ITF Taekwon-Do Finland rules, delegates elect members of the Board every year and the President every two years.

After fruiful discussions leaders and delegates accepted following persons to the Board for 2005:

Mariusz Steckiewicz 5th degree, elected in November 2003 President will still carry on the duty for the next year.

During the first meeting of the Board, which is planed for the beginning of the year, members of the Board will select Vice-President, Secretary and the Treasurer.

Second main point of the agenda was filling strategic positions of directors in the re-shaped structure. Delegates accepted Mr. Marko Lieke 5th degree, the highest Finnish ITF degree holder, as Technical Committee Coordinator.

Other directors’ positions had been filled by:

Responsibility of the Information and Marketing Director will carry on Mr. Michael Holler, 4th degree and Mr. Jori Aaltonen, 4th degree was approved as National Team Head Coach.

I would like to congratulate to all the newly elected individuals wishing them good luck and lots of perseverance in serving for the benefit of all the Taekwon-Do practitioners in Finland.

At the same time I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the 2004 Board for their efforts and hard work to improve administration of Finnish ITF Taekwon-Do Federation.

I am also happy to inform that ITF Finland Clubs' delegates accepted new club: Kuopion yliopiston Taekwon-Do ry (University of Kuopio Taekwon-Do Club).
