Swedish Taekwon-Do Association has a great pleasure to invite all Taekwon-Do practitioners to Swedish ITF Open that will be held in Ljungby, Sweden in term 30 October 2004.

We are expecting about 150 participants. In tournament traditionally will take part competitors from 4 Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, but we are expecting also for participants from other countries.

In tournament it's possible to compete in two divisions: patterns and sparring.

Divisions and categories

The competitors will be divided into the following divisions:

Advanced: 2 Kup-4 Dan
Medium advanced: 5 Kup-3 Kup
Beginners: 8 Kup-6 Kup

but two extra divisions for children in pattern:

Kids Pattern A 6 Kup - 1 Kup
Kids Pattern B 9 Kup - 7 Kup

Weight classes for the sparring competition will be

Female: -52 kg, -58 kg, -63 kg, -70 kg, +70 kg
Male: -54 kg, -63 kg, -71 kg, -80 kg, +80 kg.

We reserve the right to mix classes if the number of competitors are less than three persons.

In particular divisions there will be following age cathegories:

Advanced (2 Kup - 4 Dan):
Sparring - minimum 17 years
Patterns - minimum 13 years

Medium advanced (5 -3 Kup):
Sparring - minimum 16 years
Patterns - minimum 13 years

Beginners (8-6 Kup):
Sparring - minimum 15 years
Patterns - minimum 13 years

Kids Pattern A & B:
Patterns - maximum 12 years
